Berggasthof Gaisalpe in Oberstdorf

Very nice location and friendly staff. But if you bring your own provisions at the moment instead of supporting the local huts, you don't have to be surprised at Daniel Bitsch's unfriendliness.

The landlady must have had a really bad day today. There is no other way I can explain why paying guests are greeted so unfriendly. Particularly noteworthy at the moment, but it seems to be affordable. We seriously had the audacity to ask for a toilet and then threw the dog waste bag into the garbage can (under the watchful gaze of the landlady I fished it out again) ... The provisions we brought with us ended up being delicious. Thank you no, we will not be back ...

Beautiful location, delicious food and very friendly and brisk staff. Here I ate the best apple strudel in Allgäu! My unreserved recommendation!

Due to the Corona, you had to sit outside because everything inside was occupied. Unfortunately it was too cold for that. The wait staff had a lot to do with explaining and regulating, as not all visitors observed the rules and were unreasonable. It's a shame actually. Otherwise it will be very nice to sit there.

We stopped by during a hike and were completely satisfied. The service was very friendly and on the ball. The food was very tasty. Come back on occasion.

Hike from Oberstdorf Oybele parking lot via meadow path to Rubi and Reichenbach. Then over the Tobelweg up to the Gaisalpe. Later back to Oberstdorf via the Walraffweg forest path. Super delicious food !!! .... and well organized. I will definitely be back.

After a hike from Oberstdorf, with 2 strollers, we reached the Gaisalpe after a good 1.5 hours via Wallraffweg! We then took a break in the sun with 9 adults and 3 children! Very friendly service, great food (very recommendable bacon and cheese dumplings) and above all a wonderful view of the mountains !! We had a lot of fun; you should definitely stop by !!!!

As soon as we came in we were greeted unfriendly. So we didn't even sit down and went straight out again. I prefer to spend my money elsewhere.

Great vespers, great service, preferably the blonde waitress who assigned the tables to the people. But sometimes impossible guests without insight and time. Why do they go on vacation, I wonder.

Got the worst krautschupfnoodle of my life here. The portions are manageable. The children's ice cream thawed. Comment from the staff: "We cannot guarantee that the cold chain can be maintained." We won't be back. Pity!

Super unfriendly, had to wear mouth protection when walking the public path. I wanted to sit down at an empty table that hadn't been used for several minutes and had already been prepared (disinfected), but I was not allowed to be disinfected. The tone was very harsh.

It's always nice here on the Alps. The staff is friendly and in spite of the high number of people on their toes, the food (even if I only had a drink yesterday) is very tasty and tastes excellent. Always my pleasure. Praise to the entire staff and the break is coming soon 😄🤗

After our rainy hike from the Gaisalptobel to the Gaisalpsee, we stopped in the Gaisalpe on the descent. We ate a mountain cake that was really delicious. Also the staff was very nice. The Alpe can only be reached on foot and therefore closes in the evening.

The beer garden is visually very nice, but if you value a friendly staff, you are unfortunately wrong here. The visit was really very disappointing and I wonder how you can treat your guests like that. I watched a lady (possibly the owner / boss?) Deal with other guests and was also appalled. Another service person took my two orders incorrectly because he was very inattentive. Probably wouldn't come again, but maybe something will change over time or the criticism of the customers will be taken to heart.

It's a shame that no 0 stars can be given. The reception was rude and the food really isn't that tasty. A hiking trail also leads through the outside area of ​​the inn and guests who do not have a face mask are not allowed to cross it. You could also ensure that the alp can be bypassed. I really can't recommend it and would rather go to the lower Richteralpe !!

Eating is ok when you're starving, otherwise I'd rather chew on the sole of my shoe. The view is nice, but you can also enjoy it outside the inn. There are also no unfriendly waitresses there.

We were there for the third time. The quality of the food is great and freshly prepared. The staff was very nice and dedicated. The ambience as it should be in the mountains. We were there 2 times on vacation. We'll be back next year. And our dog was welcome too

Great, lots of friendly staff, great nut chocolate cake (definitely try) and milk from our own cows. Recommended if you can do good mountain hiking beforehand😊
